Three practical activities for reviewing with a friend, taking turns, and discussing answers.

A study session with a friend is easier to run when you agree on one lesson and one activity. Keep a textbook or teacher’s explanation available for checking disagreements, and choose a start and finish time.

Activity one: explain with an example.
One person explains a concept without reading the text and gives an example. The other asks about a step or an unfamiliar word. Check the source, swap roles, and each record a question you could not answer. This creates a specific review task.

Activity two: solve, then compare.
Choose a problem and solve it separately on paper. Compare the steps before the final answers: two different approaches may both be valid, or a single step may explain the disagreement. Use the Countdown Timer for an attempt, but allow enough time afterwards to discuss the reasoning.

Activity three: take turns asking questions.
Each participant prepares three lesson questions and keeps the answers for checking. In a small group, the Wheel of Names can choose who starts. Rotate subsequent turns so everyone participates. Random selection organizes turns; the study source determines whether an answer is correct.

Finish with individual notes:
Each person writes one idea they understood and one unresolved question. If one partner is faster, ask them to explain their choice rather than answer for the other person. Take recurring disagreements to your teacher. A useful session leaves both participants knowing what to review next.
